Our Background

Peter Shikli founded BusinessWare in 1984 to develop custom database applications for accounting and operations management, including BusinessWare for VARs, a comprehensive commercial software package for value-added computer retailers.

In 1994, we re-engineered our company to focus on the web, leveraging our database experience to provide DB-web connections. While most web developers promoted the creative multimedia capabilities of the web, we focused instead on the critical need for head-down programmers with a business background to automate business processes online. In 2002, we renamed ourselves Bizware Online Applications to reflect our dedication to this market.

Since then, we have seen DB-web connections explode into e-commerce, online exchanges, web services, the wholesale migration of applications from the desktop to the internet, and many other opportunities to empower business as never before.
